Jewelry Care

Keeping jewelry clean is essential if you want it to sparkle to its fullest. Film from lotions, powders and skin oils dulls and reduces brilliance. To keep your jewelry looking its best, clean it on a regular basis. Note: Be very careful to use an appropriate cleaner; an inappropriate cleaner may cause damage. For example, ammonia will turn your sterling silver black. Products such as Windex and Nair have ammonia in them. . . DO NOT USE THEM!!! Problems will develop and will not clean by conventional methods if ammonia and/or a product containing ammonia has been used.

Should you confront this situation, clean the jewelry with vinegar. Vinegar will not clean silver, BUT it's opposite on the PH scale and will negate the effects of the ammonia. After you clean with the vinegar, you can then clean the silver by conventional means; warm sudsy water and use a soft toothbrush, or approved sterling silver cleansers.

-Object. You can object to (i) my processing of some of your information based on my legitimate interests and (ii) receiving marketing messages from me after providing your express consent to receive them. In such cases, I will delete your personal information unless I have compelling and legitimate grounds to continue using that information or if it is needed for legal reasons.
